The conference will be hosted by the Department of Design, Manufacture and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde, in the United Kingdom. The venue will be the Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC building), located in the University of Strathclyde City Centre campus.

The £89 million Technology and Innovation Centre was officially opened by HM The Queen in 2015. Its conference facilities include a 450-seat auditorium, ten seminar and breakout rooms and a further tiered auditorium seating 150, plus flexible foyer space perfect for exhibitions and networking. Since opening, the centre has hosted more than 1,500 conferences and meeting on a broad range of academic and business subjects, as well as political events, sports conferences and risk management summits.

The centre won the gold award for Best Academic Venue in the M&IT Industry Awards, presented by Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine.
