Professor Ing. Philip Farrugia (Conference Chair)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof Ing. Philip Farrugia, a warranted mechanical engineer, is a Professor in Product Development with the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Malta. His current research interests include Data Driven Design, Design for Health and Well-being, Design of Product Service Systems, Design for Additive Manufacturing and Human Factors in Design. Prof. Ing. Farrugia is very active in securing competitive research funding, which resulted in a significant Ph.D. student supervision, peer-reviewed publications in international renowned journal and conference proceedings, awards and intellectual property protection.
Philip graduated with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering and obtained his Ph.D. related to ‘Computer-Aided Early Form Modelling’. He coordinated the taught masters course in integrated product development for ten years. Prof. Ing. Farrugia is also a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Science and Mechatronics, Munich University of Applied Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
