It is therefore timely to consider\u00a0and discuss the professional and pedagogic\u00a0role of\u00a0design and engineering as agents for\u00a0<strong>Disruption, Innovation, Regeneration and Transformation<\/strong>\u00a0in response to these various challenges.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AIMS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">The conference aims to:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-list\"><li>\u2022 To share and improve design and education teaching and learning experiences&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>\u2022 To <strong>develop educational concepts and strategies<\/strong> to help students and graduates to address current and future challenges&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>\u2022 Provide a <strong>platform to&nbsp;engage a wide and diverse communit<\/strong>y of participants and explore the various themes from different perspectives&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>E<\/strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>&amp;EPD 2022<\/strong> will bring together industry,\u00a0professionals\u00a0and student\u00a0across the engineering and product design sector\u202fto\u202fexchange\u202fknowledge\u202fand\u202fexperience\u00a0and\u202fexplore\u202fthemes\u202fsuch\u202fas:<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">design,\u202fengineering, innovation\u202fand\u202fchange\u202fand\u202fimplications\u202fin\u202fa\u202fwider\u202fcontext\u202f&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">design\u202fand\u202fengineering\u202fas\u202fagents\u202fof<strong>\u202fregeneration\u202fand\u202ftransformation\u202f&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">design\u202fand engineering&nbsp;from <strong>alternative perspectives<\/strong>&nbsp;e.g.&nbsp;female,&nbsp;LGBGT+,&nbsp;etc.&nbsp;designers from\u202fdeveloping\u202fcountries and&nbsp;with different\u202fabilities\u202fetc.\u202f&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">the\u202fpotential\u202fof<strong>\u202finterdisciplinary\u202factivities<\/strong>\u202fto\u202ffoster\u202fcreativity\u202fand\u202finnovation\u202f&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">the concept and implications of disruption in technology, business, behaviour and\u202feducation\u202f&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong>sustainable growth<\/strong> and&nbsp;working towards <strong>UN Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong> in a rapidly changing world&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">established, alternative and emerging&nbsp;educational&nbsp;paradigms to equip engineers and designers of&nbsp;the future&nbsp;<\/span><\/li><li>\u2022 <span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">improving&nbsp;teaching and&nbsp;learning experiences&nbsp;in 3D design&nbsp;in&nbsp;virtual,&nbsp;real&nbsp;and hybrid&nbsp;environments&nbsp;<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I<span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">n keeping with the inclusive ethos of the E&amp;PDE conference and to broaden the opportunities to link design and business with creativity and innovation, other stream proposals are welcomed.
